Kids, adults, professionals and amateurs have employed Photoshop in their lives for media editing, animation and authoring. Simple blemishes such as pimples go away with one or two clicks. Putting watermarks for photographs can easily be embedded to the picture for copyright purposes. Enhancing colors, textures, sizes and lightings can be as trouble-free as click and drag. Combining two photos to create a dramatic theme is as effortless as pasting a picture on a paper. Photoshop is a many-in-one tool that enables an author to bend visual perception of audiences.

Photoshop offers features that range from the simple brushes, layers, masking, changing of colors and transforming image type to another. For many artists, it becomes very helpful due to its precision and easiness in usage. It allows users to play with the characteristics of a picture making images appear real and lively, more artistically done and genuine in the eyes of viewer. A good example is a printed picture of a lady that has been damaged due to long exposure to damp air. A scanned copy of this picture can be reprinted after repairing the damage through the aid of photoshop. The picture's level of light, contrast and color can be easily altered and improve its vibrancy. It can be changed to black and white or sepia. A damaged area of the picture can be cloned and healed through brushes found at the side task pane. Photoshop also allows resizing of the pictures as well as cropping of images to improve framing. Blemishes can also be erased and deleted. After editing, you can save the picture in a format you desire.

Photoshop has different versions as well, as it continues to develop and gives wider option to users. It has basic and extended versions wherein the extended version has extra features available for usage. Currently on its version CS5 which was released last April 2010, it continues to grow and add several features that makes editing close to perfection. Its functionality can also be extended through its plug-ins that aids as mini-editors so that editing or animating can still be expanded.
